Camphor has been used for centuries as a herbal medicine and is used to treat a very wide variety of ailments as well as for magical work.  The camphor tree is a type of evergreen native to parts of Asia.  It’s the active ingredient in vapor rubs, face washes, and some shampoos.  

In folk medicine, Camphor has FDA approval for treatment as a chest rub, and to treat pain and itching associated with insect bites, cold sores, and hemorrhoids.
